Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Comfort. The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over, and is not directed to children.

2. Information we collect

Account information: your email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the basic profile they share with us — your name, email address and account identifier. Authentication is handled by our infrastructure provider, Supabase; we never see your password.

Profile information you choose to add, such as the name you want Cue to call you and your preferences.

Content you create: notes, saved places, itineraries and recipes. Items marked “on this device” stay in your browser's local storage and are not sent to us.

Basic, privacy-respecting usage analytics and standard technical data such as device type and general region.

3. How we use it

To provide and maintain your account and the Service, to personalise Cue's suggestions, to answer support requests, to keep the Service secure, and to improve it over time.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

4. How it is shared

With service providers who help us run Comfort — for example Supabase, and the sign-in providers Google and Apple.

For legal reasons, where we are required to disclose information by law.

In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, where the Service continues under new ownership.

5. Simulated features

Where the app says an action is a simulation — a reservation, a payment, an invitation, or a “night” itinerary — nothing is really booked, charged or sent, and no data goes to a venue, host or payment network.

6. Cookies, local storage and measurement

Strictly necessary storage keeps you signed in and holds on-device content in your browser. It cannot be switched off, because the Service will not work without it.

Measurement is separate and optional. It records anonymous, structural events — which screen was opened, which card was tapped — using two random ids this browser gives itself. It never records what you type to Cue.

Measurement stays off until you allow it. You can change your choice at any time in “Your measurement choice” at the end of this page; declining also clears the ids measurement used.

7. Retention

Account information is kept while your account is active, and you can request deletion at any time. On-device content clears when you clear it, or when you clear your browser storage.

8. Security

We work with reputable providers and take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may access, correct, export or delete your information, and object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us and we will help.

10. International users

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards in place.

11. Changes

We will revise the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes, and flag material changes in the app.
