Amara runs breakfast and lunch at Le Petit Marché, the family-owned café and market on Hosea L Williams Drive in Kirkwood, east of the BeltLine.
She trained in classical pastry, then spent four years on a New Orleans breakfast line — which is why the case has beignets in it and the French toast tastes of vanilla and rum.
Her rule for the room: nobody eats standing up, and nobody leaves without being spoken to.
